We start by providing a crisp logo design complete with carefully selected fonts and color schemes to make your logo a clear representation of your company’s purpose. If you already have a logo but have limited file types or resolution, we can recreate it as vector format and provide multiple sizes and file formats to meet all your marketing needs.

Tips for effective logo design:

1 Start With Vector.

You may not know what this means, but every good graphic artist should. If your logo is designed in a vector format using software such as Adobe Illustrator, it can be resized without losing quality. From the vector file, we can create a variety of file formats and sizes to be used in various media. This ensures that it looks professional and clean every time you use it! Don’t trust designers who don’t know what “vector” means. If they can only provide your logo as a JPEG file, it is not a good value.

2 Less Is More.

You may be tempted to use complicated illustrations or clip art images as a logo, which is typically not effective. Think about some of the most recognizable brands that have had an impact on you. What do they look like? Are they simple, clean, and uncluttered? You bet!! The most identifiable logos are simple, and yet you remember them. That is the entire point of branding!

Here are examples of brands that, just by seeing the name, I bet you can recall their logos without us showing them to you:

  • McDonald’s
  • UPS
  • Coca-Cola
  • FedEx

3 Use Consistent Fonts, Styles, & Colors.

You may not feel consistency is important, and may have the urge to change your signature colors and fonts from one project to the next. However, studies prove that consistent use of color and fonts increases brand recognition. To fully embrace an identity that has sticking power, use the same palette of colors for all marketing collateral and stick with the same fonts to embrace your identity. If you get tired of looking at it, that’s OK! You see your logo more than everyone else. You want people to associate your logo and branding styles with your products and services, so don’t change it up too often!

4 Make Sure It Is Original.

Your logo should be unique, and a good designer should do the proper research to ensure you are not infringing any copyright laws. To learn more about U.S. copyrighting laws, registering trademarks, etc., contact an attorney. To learn more, visit www.copyright.gov or www.gocopyright.com.
